History: This horrific monstrosity was once a small boy named Nicholas. He was an orphen and did not actually know his last name, but made an excellent test subject for an unscrupulous Umbrella scientist. His upperbody remains as it was, but is now connected to a massive beast, blending plant and animal. His name was chosen due to his spores, which are capable of infecting those who inhale them. Those infected, if not cured with a bit of his sap, will slowly be consumed by plant-like growths, which will ultimately prove fatal. He also possesses grape-like pods on his chest, from which he can spawn spider creatures to weaken his prey, and a luminecent stomach, bright enough to blind those that stare directly into it for too long. It's unknown whether Nicholas is still his former self, he was absolutely insane in the final days before his transformation, and so his current behavior really is par for the course. As he is part plant, Maliferous is quite vulnerable, and rather scared of, fire. Though not ridiculously so, and waving a torch at him will probably just get you eaten. He also consumes a great deal of water via his tentacles, and if said water is tainted with pesticides, he'll become extremely ill for a day or two.
